PRIVACY

This is a personal website: it has no contact forms, sells nothing and uses no analytics or profiling tools. This page explains which data are processed anyway when you visit it.

Data controller

Francesca Librandi – email: librandi.author@gmail.com

Which data and why

  • Browsing data. Like any website, the server hosting it automatically records some technical data about visits (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time). They are needed for the site to work and stay secure, and I do not use them to identify you.
  • Email. If you write to the address on the Contact page, I use your address and your message only to reply to you.
  • Cookies. The site only uses technical cookies: one remembers the language you chose (Italian or English), another remembers your choice on the cookie banner. The banner is run by CookieYes, which receives your IP address in order to show it. I use no profiling cookies and no analytics.

Legal basis

The legitimate interest in running the site and keeping it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and, when you write to me, your request (Art. 6(1)(b)).

How long

Emails for as long as needed to reply and to handle any collaboration; browsing data for the period set by the hosting provider for technical and security reasons.

Who receives them

No one, apart from the site’s hosting provider and CookieYes, which process them only to make the site work.

Links to other websites

The site contains links to social networks (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn), online shops and publishers. Once you open them, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to their processing, by writing to the address above (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). You can also lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
